Please Give Us Courage

Oh Lord,

give us strength

this day to

do the work

thou has assigned

us in this life,

and the courage

to see it through.

Please let us

be glad it is ours

alone to do.

It is whenever a

task is mighty hard,

and the outcome

is deepest in doubt,

that the richest

joys of faith,

answers all

our prayers.

Without which life

would not be

worth living.

Please, oh God,

give us strength

ourselves,

to work it out.
