Gamble

Lying dice chant their clacking rhythm,

as the roulette wheel does it's evil deed.

Mans souls lost in a mad shuffle,

gazing with haunted eyes behind shadows,

floating down the lazy river of time.

The suicide king, sublime royal fool,

caters to the queen of diamonds lustfully.

Drinking the folly of mans desire,

growing with greed and envy.

Easy to give oneself over and play the game,

easy to lose and lose again, losing till the end.

One armed bandits gleefully giggle,

another drink is poured and drank,

and the night takes it's final toll,

as the roulette wheel does it's evil deed.
